Every single dish was absolutely amazing, the service was incredible and the chef came up to chat to us at the end of the meal! Very wholesome touch. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a steak in Glasgow now, perfect experience.

Absolutely amazing meat.
Probably the best one I have ever eaten in Glasgow. I got the 16oz porterhouse super bleu and for the first time in a while they actually made it super bleu. Anyway still gonna leave 5 stars because the meat was the best one I ate in years for a decent price (and I am French so …). Will go back as soon as I visit Glasgow again!

We booked on Sunday afternoon for that evening and having arrived early there was no problem seating us right away. The staff were great, really friendly, chatty without being invasive and knew about the food and wine. The Malbec we wanted wasn’t available but the other recommended option was delicious.

One of the best meals I have ever had and definitely the best steak I’ve ever had. I’d never got anywhere else now for a steak in Glasgow other than here, wow. Staff go above and beyond and chef makes an appearance to ask how your meal was. Excellent.

Amazing service, very good quality food , we shared a tomahok steak and it was amazing, perfect bordelais sauce and you have to have the bone marrow, will recommend and definitely will return.

Fantastic food, excellent service and a beautiful atmosphere. I had a peaceful Sunday roast with some family, I would definitely recommend trying it out you will not be disappointed.

The best meal of our trip by far. The atmosphere and service were top notch, especially the head waiter! Thank you to the bar staff, service staff and of course the kitchen staff. Say “yes chef!” and treat yourself to a phenomenal evening at The Merchant Steakhouse.

Steaks were the best that we’ve had. Wine and further cocktails were also amazing. All staff were friendly and each had a chat to make sure that everything was in order.
Others have said its expensive, if you just look at price you may think that, but the overall feel and taste made it worth it for me. Looking forward to future visits.

We both ordered the steaks which were cooked perfectly – rated as some of the best steaks we have ever had – the sides were fresh and full of flavor and there was a wide variety of wines to accompany our dinner choices. Thank you to the staff for a high quality meal.

Went to The Merchant Steakhouse, as I had been given gift vouchers. The Chateaubriand was one of the best steaks we’ve eaten in ages. Also recommended to try the Soldier’s Block Malbec, which I normally wouldn’t have chosen, and it was excellent.

I’m a visitor from NYC. I regularly have the luxury of partaking in fine dining in Manhattan. My meal this evening at The Merchant Steakhouse easily competes with some of the best steakhouses I’ve visited in New York.

Me and my mum had a lovely dining experience here, unexpected as we were just passing, was well worth it. We both had the steak burger and it was unreal, we were served by James and he was really nice, even offered us an umbrella when it suddenly poured down. Will definitely return.

Went for father’s day with my partner and 6 month old daughter. The staff were so friendly. A special mention to James and the Chef who were extremely attentive.
Went for the Bone Marrow starter and my partner had the haggis. Both were spot on.
Best steak in Glasgow. Was seriously impressed and really looking forward to going back already.

Really good steak. Travelling from Australia and this was our first night in Scotland. Picked this place randomly as we walked by and was very happy with our choice. They have excellent steak, which is actually very reasonably priced. The entrees are good too (try the Scallops). The service was top notch, both waiters that served us were very friendly and easy good. Can recommend.

Picked this place on a whim whilst taking family out for an early Father’s Day. Was perfect for the ones who loved a steak and there were even some great options for me as a vegetarian. Perfect combination of great food and contemporary Scottish cuisine. The team were so attentive and had a laugh with you as they looked after you. 100% recommend.

The steak was outstanding, easily the best I’ve had and all the accompaniments were
top notch, dessert was delicious and the wine was first class. Can’t leave a review without mentioning the staff- very attentive without being intrusive, everyone we spoke to was genuinely interested in our opinions of the food and drinks. This place is a fantastic addition to the area and we will be regulars- well done to all the staff, look forward to our next visit!
